A Rudraksha
is a seed used as a prayer bead in Hinduism. In Sanskrit it means-“Rudra’s tear
drops.’ It is derived from ever green trees in the species Elaeocarpus
Ganitrus. It can be worn as a bracelet or chain. It must not touch metal, so it
is worn on a cord, instead of a chain.
The original 2 Mukhi Rudraksha has two
lines stretching from one end to another. The 2 Mukhi Rudraksha stands for
Ardhanareeswar- the joint symbol of Lord Siva and Goddess Parvati. Hence, it
symbolizes-‘unity’ and brings about harmony and unity in the life of those who
wear it.
